Marcadent Giuseppe is an Italian ceramist that works with porcelain and high temperature stoneware. For more than twenty years he has been producing hand-crafted majolica stoves and since 2008 with the opening of the Marc Ceramic Design company, he has specialized in the creation of decorative items, especially in ceramic wall decoration.
“My idea, spoken firstly as a ceramist and then as an artist is to give back importance to an ancient and noble material such as clay, presenting it in a new and modern way, no longer as a supporting element or an industrial material, but working it in such a way as to be considered a true work of art much as a painting. My ceramic art is produced entirely by hand and I personally take care of all aspects of the production from beginning to end. Only in this way do I feel that the piece truly belongs to me and is connected to a particular moment and state of mind.”
Clean and essential shapes, strong chromatic contrasts, precise geometries that intersect, circles and rows cross between melting lines and colours. Each day, in our workshop near Rovereto, unique design objects come to life, to decorate and enhance rooms and wall spaces. Black and beige grès panels with refined and elegant taste, whose surfaces reveal the roughness of the earth and the handmade workmanship.
